[CAH] SCPI Funding: Request fro Proposals

Request for Proposals


 

The CAH Steering Committee is very pleased to announce that 1.65 million
additional funding for the Supporting Communities Partnership Initiative
(SCPI) program has been allocated for the Halifax Regional Municipality
(HRM). 

 

This is very good news for our community since it will further advance
projects that address homelessness.

 

These funds are an extension of the previous agreement and the money
must be spent no later than March 31, 2007. Therefore the Steering
Committee has decided to issue a call for proposals for projects which
pertain to the CAH priority areas, demonstrate sustainability, and will
be completed by March 31.2007.   

 

The Steering Committee of Community Action on Homelessness is requesting
proposals under the Supporting Communities Partnership Initiative (SCPI)
that improve the quality of life for persons who are homeless or are at
risk of homelessness.

 

Proposals have to demonstrate:   

 

Ø      Increase in the number of supportive and/or transitional beds.

Ø      Renovations that address health and safety issues of buildings
(building must be owned by applicant).

Ø      Sustainability

Ø      Completed by March 31.2007.
