A forum for stakeholders working with at-risk and homeless youth

Phoenix Youth Programs invites you to join stakeholders from Atlantic Canada at our Building Partnerships, Building Solutions Part II forum on:

 

October 13, 2006   8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Building Partnerships, Building Solutions II is the second of two forums that Phoenix will host.  It is a capacity-building opportunity designed to bring together multi-sectoral partners.  This forum will bring together presenter from within Atlantic Canada to share practice techniques and best practise advances for practitioners working with vulnerable populations.   Among the range of topics will be workshops on eating disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, addictions and family violence and abuse.  

 

Dr. Michael Ungar of Dalhousie University will open the forum with his keynote address, "Nurturing Resilience of Individuals, Families, Organizations & Communities".                                                                                     

 

Please find enclosed the forum agenda, scholarship information and a complete registration package for your review. I hope you will consider attending this wonderful opportunity to come together as professionals and learn innovative and effective strategies in our work with youth at risk. Habitat for Humanity Halifax-Dartmouth will be holding a fundraising dinner in support of our build projects.  We are currently completing three homes in Dartmouth and hope to build more next year!  The evening will include a three course meal, entertainment and a live and silent auction..It promises to be a fun evening!
