11:30 am: Meet at Victoria Park for a peaceful march to the Legislature with our recommendations for a Provincial Government lead Poverty Reduction Strategy for Nova Scotia.

 

1pm-3pm:  Following there will be speaking opportunities, entertainment by Shining Lights Choir and lunch at St. Matthews Church Hall (1479 Barrington Street)

 

Featuring:  Performances by the Raging Grannies and the Shining Lights Choir

 

(Bring along any old shoes you can you can find for all ages)

 

On this global day of action against poverty, we demand that the Nova Scotia government develop and institute a comprehensive Poverty Reduction Strategy, modeled on what is already being implemented in Newfoundland and Quebec we also demand federal action to end child poverty in Canada.
