Kidsport Reminder
If you are aware of individuals in need of financial assistance to
access recreational sports programs (IE hockey, basketball, gymnastics,
martial arts...) and they meet KidSport financial criteria - please
have them fill out the KidSport application form and send to KidSport by
OCTOBER 1st.
HRM kids funding is very limited and KidSport has so much more and can
approve up to $300 at their allocation meetings.
If folks meet the KidSport financial criteria then they have an
excellent chance of receiving funding. They must have their completed
KidSport application form into Sport NS by October 1st/06. Their
financial information must be attached (ie Notice of Assessment or proof
of Income Tax).
The KidSport application form is available online at:
http://www.sportnovascotia.ca/kidsport/chapters/index.htm
If parents are not successful in receiving KidSport funding then they
can apply for HRM Kids funding by picking up an application form at
their local Recreation Centre or online:

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
