Greetings! On September 19/06 at 7pm Adsum Centre is hosting a Take Back
the Night March through Lakeside down St. Margarets Bay Road.

All are welcome to attend:
Tuesday, September 19, Take Back the Night March & Celebration 7pm at
Adsum Centre for Women & Children, 158 Greenhead Road.  All people are
welcome to attend.  Please come and show community support for ending
violence, oppression and harassment towards women. A small reception
will be held afterwards at Adsum Centre. Call 876-5011 for information.


THE MARCH IS SAFE & INCLUSIVE TO ALL PEOPLE
PLEASE BRING CANDLES, SIGNS, DRUMS, NOISEMAKERS

Adsum Centre for Women & Children Take Back the Night.

-Provides an opportunity to stand together united in solidarity.

-Offers a safe place to express our outrage at the violence in our lives
and community which affects all people.

-Breaks the silence about violence in our lives.

-Reclaims the right to control our own bodies, lives, and futures.

-WE DEMAND the human right to live freely, without fear of violence,
oppression and harassment.

-Reminds us that women are strong as individuals.

-On this September 19/06 we will be marching together in solidarity for
ALL women throughout the world.

I just wanted to warmly invite all from Community Action on Homelessness
and to take this opportunity to THANK YOU ALL for your continuous
dedication and solidarity to women's issues, empowerment, awareness,
education and healthy living!
