The Shining Lights Choir will perform in honour of their friend.

EULOTH, James Joseph "Jay Doyle"


EULOTH, James Joseph "Jay Doyle" - 38, Halifax, formerly of Post Road,
Antigonish, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, in QEII Health Sciences Centre,
Halifax. Born in Antigonish, he was the foster son of Jack and Ruth (Murphy)
Doyle. He was a member of St. Lukes Church Choir, Halifax. He graduated from
Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School in 1986. He was an avid hockey fan
having served as assistant coach for Ste. Croix Rural League Hockey Team. He
also was a devoted fan of the Antigonish Junior A Bulldogs. He was a member
of Arras Branch No. 59 Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed playing in their
dart league. He worked in security at the Antigonish Arena for a number of
years where he developed a deep friendship and admiration for Kevin Layes
Danny Berry. Jay's highlight each year was driving a vehicle for Eastern
Auto in the Highland Games Parade. He is survived by his foster parents,
Jack and Ruth (Murphy) Doyle; half-sisters, Cathy (Albert) Young, Pomquet;
Shelly and Lisa Fairn, Halifax; foster sisters, Eileen (Tracey Nickerson)
MacDonald, Somers Road; Brenda (Kevin) Vigneau, West Side Ohio, Antigonish
Co.; Lorraine (Clem) Murphy, Lethbridge, Alta.; foster brothers, Jackie
(Lauraine) Doyle, Cape George; Vaughn Doyle, Halifax; David Doyle, Brierly
Brook; Ricky (Millie) Moore, Stewiacke; Sandy MacFarling, Addington Forks;
Daniel Pellerine, New Glasgow; goddaughter, Gina MacDonald, Swan Hills,
Alta.; several nieces and nephews; great-niece, J'Lynne Doyle, Antigonish;
his main caregiver at Lynden Rest Home, Margaret Simpson. He was predeceased
by his birth parents, Lloyd Jolotta and Patsy Euloth; stepfather, Don Fairn;
paternal grandparents, Sheldon and Margaret Jolotta; maternal grandparents,
William and Elizabeth Euloth. Visitation in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135
College St., Antigonish on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held
on Saturday at 3 p.m. in St. Ninian's Cathedral with Rev. Ray Huntley
presiding. Burial in St. Ninian's Cemetery at a later date. Memorial
donations may be made to the Heart Transplant Unit at QEII Health Sciences
Centre in gratitude for the care he received over the past 11 years. On-line
