THE EMPOWERMENT CONNECTION

Strategists in Mental Health Promotion

May 25, 2007

The Nova Scotia Department of Health has announced that The Involuntary
Psychiatric Treatment Act (IPTA) is scheduled to be proclaimed and to become
effective on July 3, 2007. The Empowerment Connection has been awarded the
tender to provide the Patient Rights Advisor Service as required by the
legislation.

Patient Rights Advisors will be hired to provide service in the following
locations throughout Nova Scotia:

*	Yarmouth
*	Bridgewater
*	Truro/New Glasgow
*	Antigonish
*	Sydney
*	Halifax Regional Municipality

The services provided by advisors in Yarmouth, Bridgewater, Truro,
Antigonish and Sydney will be considered "on-call" positions. Since the
demand for service in these areas is not anticipated to be high, the service
providers will be paid a retainer plus an hourly rate for services provided.

The Advisor(s) in the Halifax Regional Municipality will be paid on an
hourly basis.

Interested applicants may apply by submitting a resume and cover letter by
hand delivery, post or e-mail to:
